Services/Hearing aids we offer

Hearing Aids:

In addition to the Lyric hearing aid, we dispense many other manufacturers' devices, including Siemens, Widex, Oticon and Phonak. Other manufacturers' devices are available upon request. Digital signal processor and analog programmable devices are available.

Earmolds:

Earmolds are available in different styles and materials for behind-the-ear hearing aid purchases, as well as replacement molds.

Swim molds:

Swim molds are used to keep water out of ear canals when there's a history of outer ear infections or, when ear tubes are in place, to prevent water from getting into the middle ear space.

Musicians earplugs:

These earplugs were designed to preserve the spectral response of music while providing some hearing protection when loud music is played/listened to. Musicians earplugs, like earmolds and swim molds, require an ear impression to make the custom earplug. Filters of varying noise reduction values are available and interchangeable with each set of earplugs.

Assistive Listening Devices:

FM systems, telephone amplifiers, alarm clocks/awakening devices, etc.

Hearing Aid Repairs:

Some hearing aid and assistive listening device repairs can be performed in our offices; devices requireing a replacement part or a more involved repair are mailed to their respective manufacturer. Repairs typically take less than a week and rush repairs can be requested for an additional fee.

Hearing Aid Warranties:

All new hearing aid purchases come standard with repair and loss & damage warranties. Extended warranties may be purchased through a hearing aid manufactuer or through a hearing aid insurance company.

Hearing Aid Checks:

We recommend that all patients using conventional (non-Lyric) hearing aids return for a hearing aid check every 6 months to ensure maximal device function. An initial 6-month hearing aid check is included in the cost of a new hearing aid.

Patients using Lyric hearing aids return for replacement devices on an as needed basis or at least once every 4 months.

Reprogramming of Hearing Aids:

Sometimes reprogramming a relatively new hearing aid's settings is all that is required for improved sound quality. We have programming software and cables for many manufacturers and can easily determine a hearing aid's settings and, with a detailed history of hearing aid function in varied listening/communication environments, determine possible changes for improved hearing aid benefit.
